Sexual Orientation/Identity

However we identify ourselves, sexual orientation is an important part of who we are. Many individuals struggle with self acceptance due to stigma and shame. This is a central focus of my practice.

Addiction/Substance Use

I work with clients who are dealing with various addictions to substances (alcohol, cocaine, meth) and/or behaviors (sex, porn, food). 

Anxiety/Depression

Anxiety and depression are among the most common challenges to our emotional, spiritual and physical health. Reaching out for help is an important first step.

Black Men (Gay, Bisexual, SGL,  Hetero)

Most of my clients are male identified. My male clients vary in age, race, and sexual orientation.  More and more men are learning to prioritize their mental well-being.

Elders

Growing older is a gift of extended life which comes with great benefits and challenges such as loss and isolation. I help clients draw from their wisdom and strength to sharpen skills and find renewed fulfillment in life. 

Grief 

Grief is a natural part of the human experience which can sometimes be complicated by added challenges. Grief centered therapy can provide support to help individuals endure, heal and grow. 

HIV/AIDS (long-term survivors, newly diagnosed)

Many HIV long-term survivors have battled odds to survive yet they may find it hard to fully thrive. Those who are just finding out may need more support and answers to many questions. I have extensive experience working with HIV+ individuals.

LGBTQ+ 

LGBTQ+ individuals overcome key hurdles to embrace their identity. As with all clients trust comes with a sense of being understood. Using a strength based approach, I engage LGBTQ+ clients with the utmost compassion and respect.

Relationship/Intimacy

Intimacy is vital to the health of any close relationship. I help clients address their challenges with being vulnerable, communicating with loved ones and understanding their own needs.
